Meet: Dave Tanner, Pool Manager

|
Dave Tanner is a long time member and former Teaching Pro and Pool Director at QCRC. He is a high school Physical Education teacher at NIA Community School.
We are looking forward to a new and exciting year at the QCRC Pool. We are adding a number of new activities, kids programming and special events; as well as... parties for everyone.
In addition, there are a number of new policies and guidelines - you should be aware of before we turn on the faucet and open the gates. The biggest is to extend the pool hours on Wednesday and Friday evenings.

Outdoor Pool Information

|
The pool at QCRC is open Memorial Day through Labor Day. Our pool features steps in the shallow area for youngsters (and adults), a diving board for the "bigger" kids that like to make a big splash and lap lanes for the serious swimmer.
Additionally, the pool area has plenty of lounge chairs for relaxing in the sun, a changing area, restrooms, children's play area and vending machines.
We have new programs for swimmers of all ages. Swimming Instruction, Water Aerobics, Aquatic Personal Training, Private Swim Instruction. |
Pool Policies & Guidelines
All members who have pool privileges will have to show a membership card. These membership cards will be available for all members including children. The card must be shown upon entering the pool gates. In the event the membership card is lost or destroyed a new card will be issued for $5. (Please keep in mind we are requiring cards for your benefit and to protect the value of your membership). The membership cards will be available at the Front Desk starting May 10th and at the Pool starting May 24th.
Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult to enter the pool area. Any child at the pool under the age of 10 (or Older if necessary) may be asked to take a "Swim Test" to insure he/she is a safe and competent swimmer at QCRC Pool.
We want to encourage members to use and enjoy the pool as much as possible this summer. This includes the bringing of food and drinks for your family to enjoy while at the pool. Please remember for safety reasons - "no glass" bottles or containers. Also due to State of Ohio Liquor License restrictions - patrons cannot bring alcohol into the pool area. On scheduled special occasions we will offer beer from the QCRC Cafe at a reduced rate. |
Fall & Winter Swimming Facility
Through a special arrangement eligible QCRC members are also invited to swim indoors at the LaQuinta Hotel indoor pool. Stop by the front desk at QCRC to pick up your guest pass. The QCRC Dolphin Swim Porgram and Aquatic Exercise classes will be held at this location throuhg-out the Fall and Winter months.
The LaQuinta Hotel is located on the east side of I-75 on Dowlin Drive off of Sharon Rd.
